Recently I visited Locust Grove Estate with my family. My parents are interested in historic landmarks so I thought this would be a great place to show them during there visit for Parents Weekend. Locust Grove is an Italianate villa that was designed in 1851 for and artist/ inventor by the name of Samuel Morse. Locust Grove is well known for thier extraordinary architecture and beautiful gardens, and its scenic views align the hudson river. It is located on 683 South Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.The Locus grove also hosts numerous events and weddings, and has a twitter page on their website to keep residents updated on the events that take place. The Locust Grove is a great and relaxing place to sight see and enjoy the views of the Hudson River!:)
