Hi Bloggers!

My last post is dedicated to the most interesting place I visited this semester. This is the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum. Its Located pretty close to Marist on 4079 Albany Post Rd, Hyde Park, NY 12538. The museum consists of Franklin's house that he lived in. Each room has the furniture he used to have in his home and it was awesome to see where such an important historical figure actually lived. Each room has vintage furniture and it has a historical feel. The tour guide showed us each room and added interesting\ facts about certain furniture pieces and stories about Franklins Early life. Its a great place to enjoy with someone who appreciates history.

Hey Bloggers !
Today the hot spot is Shadows Over the Hudson. This is a high class seafood restaurant that serves exquisite  entrees. Although its somewhat expensive, Shadows is a great place to eat and hang out. Dressing nice is key at this restaurant since its very formal. Making a reservation a few days ahead of time is necessary considering its always packed. It also is a place were multiple events are held such as weddings, parties, and fundraisers. The best entree to get here is the lobster meal. Best Lobster I have ever eaten! Check out Shadows over the Hudson!

Whats up !

Today's Hot spot is the Mill House Brewery. The Mill house Brewery is located in the Middle of Poughkeepsie on Mill Street. When my family and I went the service was flawless. Our waitress was quick to get our order in a extremely friendly. All around great vibes at this place. The inside is uniquely decorated and looks like a real Brewery. The menu has excellent appetizers and great entrees. Our food came fast and we were extremely pleased with the service. The best thing to order is the fried oysters or the Fish and Chips. You cant go wrong! The Mill House is known to be one of the most delicious restaurants in Poughkeepsie.

Hey everyone!
The next hot spot is called River Station Restaurant. River Station is a seafood restaurant that overlooks the hudson. My friends and I go here often, to hang out and eat. River station also has nightlife on Thursdays, where most Marist Students go to dance and have a few drinks. This is personally one of my favorite spots in Poughkeepsie. There menu includes an awesome seafood soup bar, with tons of different flavors that will make you wanting more!

In the spring when its better weather, a nice healthy way to spend time and catch sun rays is at the Marist Beach. The Marist Beach is easy to get to, its right in the middle of campus! In the spring, tons of Marist Students bring beach chairs, sit and tan on the green. People bring out speakers, frisbees, footballs, soccer balls, etc! The Marist Beach got its name because it overviews the Hudson River Water Front. This is also the place where last years senior prank was held. The class of 2018 made a huge tarp water slide and went tubing and water sliding down the hill !Check out the Marist Beach if you have time, its hard to miss.

Hello Bloggers!

Yesterday I visited Campus Deli, an extremely popular place amongst Marist Students. Its located right across campus, at 11-17 Marist Dr, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. It includes a great menu with sandwiches, panini, wraps, salads, fries, mozzarella sticks, and 1 dollar pizza! Campus Deli also has "hard Arnold palmers" which are tasty drinks for kids over 21. There is a place to sit and eat, and they have pick up and delivery options. Another awesome thing about Campus Deli is that they have lottery tickets! My friends and love buying the scratch offs. Definitely worth a visit!

Hi Bloggers whats up!

On Friday my friends and I decided to grab a bite to eat at Lola's Cafe."Lola's" is a well known Cafe by Marist Students. Its located 131 Washington St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 right under the Walkway Over the Hudson. Its about a mile from the Marist Campus, and and awesome place to walk to for some exercise on a nice day on a nice day. Lola's menu consists of sandwiches, panini, burgers, salads, and wraps. They are famous for their Philly Cheese steak sandwich sesame noodles. My friends and I always order the the Chicken Bruschetta Panini which has Fresh Mozzarella, tomatoes, baby greens, avocado, basil pesto aioli, balsamic reduction. Another delicious option on the menu is the South beach Salad, which includes Sautéed Shrimp, mandarins, dried crans, cherry toms, cucs, red onions, feta, and toasted almonds, over mixed greens w/ fresh herb vinaigrette. Lola's also has a new location That just opened in New Paltz with a similar menu and great shopping areas next door.
